I just got an offer from a company. Its 20% more then what I make now, no benefits because it is contract and it is for 6-12 months with possibility of becoming a permanent job.

Opinions??

If you want details or what company, I will answer. Just trying to not let that influence, not yet.

I say go for it. Epsecially if it’s an interesting position, better than what you are doing now, which you seem to be bored with. I haven’t seen a company that’s had you longer than a month that hasn’t wanted to keep you, even when they axed everyone else in the department. This won’t take you out of town, will it? In that case, I say ‘no way’ ;)

I’d say go for it. My only reservation would be the lack of health insurance for you and T.

if it takes you to San Francisco, go for it. Meh… go for it either way. Your work twitters don’t have the luster they should.

I wish I had a good resonse for you. The problem with being contract (in my position at least) is the different tax braket. Find out what you will be paying in taxes and weigh that with the pay increase. And of course, if the job looks interesting then go for it!
